Memorial for Guillermo "Willie" Ortega age 85, resident of Butler, OK. Private family memorial/ cremation service will be held pending out of state family arrivals. His parents Albert and Elvira Ortega, has predeceased Guillermo "Willie" Ortega. Willie passed away Wednesday, April 27th, 2016 from long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was raised in Plains KS and graduated there, worked various odd jobs in Liberal, KS. He was drafted in the US Army serving actively in Korean War and received his honorable discharge 19 ? He spent most of his life as a pumper- lease operator for Mobil Oil Co. When he was not working he enjoyed outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He was a great fisherman and enjoyed fishing in Oklahoma, Montana, Texas, and Wyoming. Other passions of Willie's was playing dominoes, puzzles, and bingo. His greatest achievements and joy was to teach his children and his grandchildren how to fish and play dominoes. He is survived by his 2 daughters Beta Biller of Olpe, KS; Phyllis Bohling of May, OK and one adopted son Dale Ray of Woodward, OK. Whom all together has given him heartfelt happiness through his 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by this sister, Gloria Simpson from Tribune, KS. And she had blessed them with various nephew, nieces and greats. As this was a long term illness God decided it was time for Willie to rest in peace and we will picture him in no other way than with a pole in hand.
