A Memorial service for Judy Odell, 70, Clinton resident, will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 16, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Judy Lynn Odell was born July 23, 1951 to Robert Earl Odell and Erna Dean (Sanders) Odell in Vinita, Oklahoma and passed away from complications of heart disease, Friday, December 10, 2021 in her home. Judy was a lifelong resident of Clinton. During her life she made a difference in so many lives. Much like her father, she never met a stranger. She retired from the Social Security Administration in 2006 following coronary bypass surgery, after having served the citizens of Clinton for over 30 years. Judy was a member of the First Christian Church and taught Sunday school for the children, worked in the nursery and taught youth groups for many years. She loved her congregation and was saddened when her health would not allow her to attend services once she became disabled. Judy was considered to be a very classy lady. . In her earlier years, she was member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Jaycee Jane’s, Business and Professional Business Women Club and a host of others. She was also an avid Clinton High School football fan and used to travel the state for their games. Judy loved reading and use to tutor children at Nance Elementary when her son attended school there. It was her dream to continue teaching people to read once she retired but her health did not allow her do so. In addition to reading, Judy loved music of all genres and was great dancer and by far the best “Two-Stepper”. She and her oldest friend, Anita (Chosen Sister) loved the Beatles and knew every lyric by heart. Judy is preceded in death by her Mother, Dean Odell and father Bob Odell. She is survived by her son, David C. Bryan of the home, Her sister Jerre L. Odell (Charlotte) of Lawton, OK and her chosen sister (Anita M. Beam (Bob) of Oklahoma City, Aunt, Madeline Sanders of Columbus, OH and last but not certainly not least her beloved friends in Clinton.
