Funeral Services for Mary Smith, 71, Arapaho resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Vann Leonard. Burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery in Arapaho, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Mary Fay Smith was born June 4, 1945 to Loy Rigney and Dorothy (Johnson) Rigney in Cordell, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Mary was raised and attended school in Lazbuddie, TX, She graduated from Lazbuddie High School in 1963. She moved to Hobart in 1965 and worked for the Hobart Schools as a secretary for about 7 years. She went on to Licensed Practical Nursing School in Burns Flat and received her nursing certificate and she practices her nursing skills with a nursing agency all over Western Oklahoma. She was married to Nathan Smith on November 4, 1983 in Elk City and they have made Arapaho, Oklahoma their home. She had a special loved for animals and took in many strays; she loved gardening, painting, and writing. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Lake Michael Ross. She is survived by her husband, Nathan, of the home, three daughters, Cheryl Sisemore and husband, Doug, OKC, Nina Montalvo, Weatherford and Gina Rosado and husband Dennis, Duncan; a son, Troy D. Smith and wife Jessica, Silver Spring, MD; two brothers Lloy D. Rigney and wife, Lanell, and Bobby Rigney and wife, JaQuetta, all of Clinton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family has suggested those wishing to give a memorial contribution may so do the Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary in Clinton, P.O. Box 1965, Weatherford, OK 73096.
