Funeral Services for Dale Jones, 83, Former Clinton City Councilmen, will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. The family will greet guests 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M., Monday, May 9, 2022, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel. Clifford Dale Jones was born August 21, 1938, to Clifford Dean Jones and Norene (McNutt) Jones in Hobart, OK and passed away early Wednesday morning in El Reno, OK. Dale was raised In Clinton, OK and graduated from Clinton High School in 1957. While in high school, he was known for his fast cars and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he received his BS Degree as well as his master’s in education. He also attended Oklahoma University and had several hours toward his Doctorate He taught school for five years before serving as Superintendent of Schools in Colony, OK. He married Bertha Ann Yates-Watson on June 21, 1980, at the Holy City in Medicine Park, OK. He was an entrepreneur involved in several businesses in the surrounding areas and built eight Social Security Buildings throughout Oklahoma and Texas. He built, owned and operated the Laundry World, Movie World and the Hair Palace. He was on the building committee and General Contractor of construction of the new building of the 28th street First Christian Church in Clinton. He was a survivor of cancer for the past 18 years. He was a longtime active and faithful member of the First Christian Church. He served his community as City Councilmen for eight years. He served his country by being a member of the Army Reserves. He has been flying airplanes since he was 14 years old. He enjoyed collecting ventage cars and motorcycles, traveling and going on cruises and enjoyed snow skiing. In years past he has been a member of the Lions Club, the Rotary Club and the V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Terry Jones, brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Georgia Jones, and granddaughter Kenda Renee Jones. He is survived by his wife, Bertha, of the home, sons, Chris Watson and wife, Saundra, Clinton and Kerry Dale Jones and wife Linda Kay, OKC, OK, daughter, Juh-Ree Walker and husband, Mark, Clinton, daughter in law, Jane Jones-Talley. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kara Juh-Ree Crane, Leah Perry Oney, Kristy Renee Hulett, Amy Lynn Watson-Wick, Nicholas Watson, Blake Jones, 13 great-grandchildren, Whisper Walker, Danny Gugle, III, Aurora Shumate, Waylon Oney, Jaxon Black, Hazel Crane, Gage Hulett, Lane Hulett, Audrey Wick, Preslie Watson, Meredith Watson, Annie Watson and Brady Watson. The family has suggested those who want to make a memorial contribution may do so the Shriners Hospitals for children, 2900 North Rocky, Dr., Tampa Bay, FL 33607, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude, Memphis, TN 38105.
