Debra Marlene “Debbie” Richter, age 72, of Leedey, Oklahoma, passed away on December 3, 2025, at the Clinton Regional Hospital. She was born on September 15, 1953, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Carl and Evalyene (Thornbrough) Williams.
A proud graduate of Putnam City High School, class of 1971, Debra found joy in many aspects of life. In 1992, she met John Richter, and they were united in marriage on September 14, 1993, in Reno, Nevada, celebrating over thirty beautiful years together.
Debbie was known as the big sister and dedicated much of her professional life as a Paralegal while also helping John with the family farm. Her love for animals, particularly dogs, was evident in her warm demeanor. She had a passion for attending Estate Auctions and enjoyed seeking out antiques. Among her cherished memories are those of traveling to South Texas and attending the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband, John Richter; her son, Kristian Houghtling and wife Monica of San Antonio, Texas; her daughters, Jackie Sralla and husband Chris of Floorsville, Texas, and Jenna James and husband Zach of Georgia; sister, Terri Edwards and husband Rick of Woodward, Oklahoma; along with six grandchildren, Alaina, Aubrey, Abigail, Lauren, Landon, Johnny and Jordan; niece, Jenni Corr and husband Jeremy of Sunset, TX; nephew, Austin Fox and wife Ashley of Bixby, Oklahoma; great nephews, Damon Fox, Jayden and Jase Corr; as well as her aunt, Marlene Rennison, and uncle, Sam Thornbrough.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carla and Evalyene Williams.
A funeral service to honor Debra will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Randy Kiesau Chapel located in Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, 2500 W. Modelle Ave., Clinton, Oklahoma.
Debbie’s spirit and love will be remembered by all who knew her.
