Dwight Edward (Red) Lucus, age 84, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2021 at his home in Clinton, Oklahoma. Dwight was born on December 6, 1936 at Indiahoma, Oklahoma to Herbert and Minnie (Hoover) Lucus. While Dwight was growing up he lived in multiple cities and states. Dwight attended school at Shamrock and Vernon, Texas. He graduated from Vernon, Texas then moved to Clinton in 1959 where he met Kathleen Mueller. They were married May 18, 1963 in Clinton, Oklahoma and they had just celebrated 58 years of marriage. They welcomed two sons Alan and Scott into their family. Dwight worked several places over his life time. Some of the places he worked were Custer County, City of Clinton, Bills Bakery, Kern- Schneider Funeral Home, and farming. Dwight’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, and machine engineering. After retirement he started sewing quilts and working on sewing machines. Dwight is survived by his wife Kathleen of the home; Alan Lucus, Scott and wife LaDonna and their children Zackery and Nicholas. He is also survived by two sisters Ovelda Burton and Leona Miller and many other family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Herbert and Minnie, and siblings, Oscar; Herbert Ray, Wesley (Tommy) and Charlie. Dwight never liked being the center of attention and per his wishes there will be no service.
