Eddie Lee Henderson, age 78, of Arapaho, OK, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
Born on June 18, 1946, in Cheyenne, OK, Eddie was the son of Justis and Edythe (Downey) Henderson. He completed his high school education at Arapaho High School in 1964 and furthered his studies at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. On July 15, 1967, he married Kathy Nicolich at Ft. MacArthur in San Pedro, CA.
Eddie proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from July 2, 1964, to June 30, 1968. Following his service, he and Kathy made their home in Arapaho, OK. Eddie was an active member of his community, serving as a life member of the VFW and as a former Vice Commander at the Clinton VFW Post #4465. He was also a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clinton.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, J.O. and Edythe Henderson; his brother Ronnie Henderson; and his sister Ramona Lund.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, as well as his sons David Henderson and wife Tamra, Arin Henderson and wife Denise, and Allen Henderson and wife Tiphani. He leaves behind his sisters, Rose Corbin and husband Steve, and Kaye Edwards and husband Scott, along with several cherished nieces and nephews including Brandon Edwards and wife Cara, Dayshai Brown and husband Greg, Tanner Corbin and wife Tracy, Les Henderson, and Rhonda Ito and husband Greg. Eddie also took great joy in being both a grandfather and great grandfather. He leaves behind three grandchildren Morgan Henderson, Joseph Henderson, Kasidy Henderson, and great granddaughter Maylie Stevens.
Eddie's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, May 5, 2025, in the chapel of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with interment following in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, OK.
