Funeral Services for Elmer E. Stucker, 94, Arapaho resident, will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in the First Christian Church, officiated by Doyle Kinney. The burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Elmer Earl Stucker was born November 6, 1928, to Ray and Elva Stucker in Barnitz Creek in Custer County, OK and passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2023, in the St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
He was raised west of Arapaho with his sister and brothers. He attended Arapaho School for all 12 years and graduated in 1946. While in school he played basketball and baseball and participated in the band, playing the cornet and occupying the first chair. Along with his Future Farmers of America Class in 1945 he helped build the Arapaho Lunchroom. He also showed several First Place and Grand Champion Southdown Lambs at County and State Fair Levels. Soon after high school graduation he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University for two years.
He married Miss Bonnie Miller on December 7, 1947, in Arapaho. In 1949 they made their permanent home west of Arapaho and lived there for the next 68 years. The farm home was the birthplace of all three sons.
While on the farm they grew wheat, cotton, milo, along with running livestock, and for eight years they raised seed plots for Warner Seed Company.
He was an active member of the First Christian Church and served as a Boy Scout Leader.
His philosophy in life and words of wisdom where “Take It From an old Man and live life and have some fun along the way.”
He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, parents, sister, Juanita Stucker and two brothers, Duane Stucker and Ray Glen Stucker.
He is survived by three sons, Warren Stucker and wife, Jeanne, Arapaho, Randy Stucker and wife, Karen, Weatherford, and Brad Stucker and wife, April, Arapaho.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Stephanie Goldman and husband, Josh, Phoenix, AZ, Rebecca Daniels and husband, Lonnie, Yukon, Randall Stucker and wife Kristina, Arapaho, Travis Stucker and wife, Alicia, Ellabell, GA and Dylan Stewart and wife Jeanie, Clinton, and great-grandchildren, Emiley McKinsey, Hailey and Brady Kauk, Arapaho, OK and McKenzie, Abbie Stucker, Ellabell, GA, Decon Stewart, Clinton, Laci Daniels, Yukon and Finn Stucker.
