Gail Earlene Ashcraft

September 11, 1936 — November 15, 2025

Tulsa

Gail Earlene Ashcraft was born September 11, 1936, in Ada, OK to Virgil Banister “Ban” Patrick and Estella (Brown) Patrick. She ascended into Heaven on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in her sleep.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Randy Kiesau Chapel, located in Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, 2500 W. Modelle Ave., Clinton, OK 73601.

She and Boyce Ashcraft fell in love and married November 8, 1954. Soon after marrying Boyce, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for two years. During his deployment, Gail remained stateside and gave birth to their first son, Tony Ray, on July 11, 1955, in Duncan, OK. In 1958, a second son, Robert Donald, was born July 17th.

After Boyce’s honorable discharge, the couple worked various jobs while Boyce went to Cameron College in Lawton and Central State in Edmond and Upland, CA. They migrated back to Clinton, where they partnered with a brother, Kenneth, and purchased a one-year-old business, Daniel’s Drive In. After a year, Kenneth branched out on his own and purchased Dairy Mart in Altus, OK.

Gail worked alongside Boyce, as well as running the household and keeping two boys grounded. She became very active in the community as a volunteer in many philanthropic and civic clubs. Some of those were Junior Service League and PEO Chapter EV. Gail also became a second mom to many Clinton High School students who came through the drive‑through window at Daniel’s Drive‑In.

After a few years, Boyce and Jack Ziehmer formed and operated TV and Appliance Land and Furniture Store. Gail worked there as needed while discovering she had a love of golf (two holes in one), tennis, teaching aerobics, yoga, and Zumba all the way into her seventies. One of her favorite dance songs was Staying Alive by the Bee Gees, of which she delighted the residents and staff with her moves at eighty-nine years of age, at Oxford Springs Retirement.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Ban and Estella Patrick; husband, Boyce Ashcraft; son, Bobby Ashcraft; daughter-in-law, Karen Pearce Ashcraft; brothers, Curtis Patrick and Carroll Patrick.

She is survived by her son Tony Ashcraft and wife Debbie; daughter-in-law, Twila Ann Ashcraft; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Charlene Ashcraft; grandchildren, Tracy Ashcraft Mann and husband David, Robert Daniel Ashcraft and wife Elyse, Blake Ashcraft and wife, Amanda, Brandon Ashcraft and wife Aubrey, Barry Ashcraft and wife Maleah; great grandchildren, Jordan, Bradley, Will, Jacob, Micah, Madison, Hayden, Breck, Blade, Slade, Talus, Kade, and the surviving members of the Clinton High School classes of the 1960’s and early 1970’s.

A special thank you for Keeton and Leilani and the staff of Oxford Springs Retirement Center for their expert care in Gail’s final years.
