George Thiessen, affectionately called "Boo Boo," by his family and close friends, passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 67, at the Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton, OK.

Born on September 11, 1957, to John and Omega (Williams) Thiessen in Clinton, George embraced life with a spirit of adventure and a love for family. He graduated from Clinton High School and pursued his passion for exploration, traveling to Paris and the United Kingdom. In 2008, he began his dedicated service as a Ward Clerk at Clinton Regional Hospital, remaining there, until the hospital's closure in 2023.

George had deep love for his family. He appreciated traveling, cherishing the journeys he took with friends, particularly to Taos, New Mexico. His enthusiasm for life was evident in his love for watching and attending University of Oklahoma football games, which brought him joy and connection with others.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Aleta Rae Wells and her husband J.R. of Anadarko, Oklahoma; Jo Lynn Mohammad and her husband Dr. AA Mohammad of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Johnetta Waldrop of Clinton, Oklahoma, along with many cherished nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

George is preceded in death by his parents, John and Omega Thiessen, and his half-sister, Poincette Tate.

As per George’s wishes, no services will be held. The family will hold a private burial at a later date.

As we remember George, we celebrate a life filled with love and countless memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
