Funeral Services for Jerry Wayne Bowen, 69, Clinton resident, will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 2, 2021 in the Edge Church, officiated by Howell Penner and Easton Page. A private burial will be held in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Jerry Wayne Bowen was born February 17, 1952 to Lonnie Newton Bowen and Floy Rebecca (Clark) Bowen in Sentinel, Oklahoma and passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 in the Clinton Alliance Health in Clinton, OK. Jerry was raised in Sentinel and graduated from Sentinel High School in 1971. He married Cindy Farris January 4, 1981 in Wheeler, TX. He farmed for several years before starting a career with Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He moved to Clinton in 1995 and retired from ODOT after 23 years of service in March of 2019. He was an active and faithful member of the Edge Church where he also served on the Host Team, he was quite the jokester he loved the outdoors; farming; plowing the fields, and his grandchildren were his world. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Dale Bowen, Dwayne Bowen, Gerald Bowen, and Eldon Bowen; sister, Betty Dahlen and a sister in law, Marlene Brown. He is survived by his wife, Cindy, of the home, two daughters, Stormie Hill and husband, Justin, Clinton, Shanley Beatty and husband, Dylan, Arapaho, OK; two sisters, Marla McCoy and Husband Brian, North Richland Hills, TX, Bobbie Baumwart and husband, Don, Springtown, TX; two brothers, Rayford Bowen and wife, Sharron, Seiling, OK, Clark Bowen an wife, Melody, Cordell, OK; brother in law, Bruce Farris and wife Sheri, Portland, TX. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Hensley Hill, Zayden Beatty, Rogue Hill and Bowen Beatty; 12 nephews, 10 nieces, 20 great nephews, 29 great nieces, 10 great-great nephews and 11 great-great nieces. The family has requested those wanting to make a memorial Contribution may do so to the Western Oklahoma Christian School or The Edge Church Building Fund.
