Funeral Services for Juanita Beutler-Graybill, 94, Beckham County resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in the United Methodist Church in Elk City, OK officiated by Rev. Terry Jordan. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Juanita Faye Beutler Graybill, known to everyone as “Faye”, was born July 6, 1928, at Herring, Oklahoma. To Asha Leroy “Lee” and Lena Elizabeth “Lennie” Driver and passed away on November 3, 2022, in Elk City, OK.
Faye grew up on a farm in the Herring and Hammon Communities where she attended public school at Hammon graduating in 1946. After graduation, Faye worked at the Tisdal Hospital in Elk City for Dr. L.M. Baker, Sr., for several ears. In 1952, she married Henry Leon “Buddy” Beutler. They made their home northeast of Elk City where they farmed and raised two children, Lea Ann and Randy.
After Buddy’s untimely death in 1976. Faye attended the Vo Tech School at Burns Flat, OK a receiver her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate. In 1979, she married Gail Graybill. She and Gail continued to live at and work the ranch until his death in 2001.
Faye enjoyed her family and watching Sooner football and the Oklahoma City Thunder on television. One of her greatest enjoyments was being able to live at the ranch for over seventy years until this past August when ill health required that she moved to Elk City.
She is survived by her children Lea Ann Beutler, Elk City, OK, and Randy Beutler, Weatherford; a special friend, Alice Heroian Edmond, OK, two grandchildren Felicia Cummins and husband J.W., Erick, OK and Donald Schreiner, Oklahoma City, OK and four great grandchildren, Nate, Hannah, Corbin and Henry Cummins.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents, husband’s father and mother-in-law, Denzil and Hazel Beutler, and brothers and sisters, Clarence Driver, Annie Driver, Minnie Spitzer, Lula Trent, Joe Driver, Jessie Carter, Katie Bright, Leroy, “Cotton” Driver, Odesa Drinnon, J.W. Driver and Doyle “Buddy” Driver.
