Melinda Kay Clark, the daughter of William and Helen (Waller) Clark was born on May 5th, 1957, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, and passed away on Wednesday, April 9th, 2024, in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held at another date under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Melinda was raised in the Clinton Community and graduated from Clinton High School in 1975. Upon graduation, she worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital for a few years prior to moving to Glendale, Arizona. She spent most of her adult life in Arizona working for AT&T. She returned to Clinton in August 2010 to help care for her ailing father. After his passing, she remained in Clinton and enjoyed reuniting with old friends from high school. During this time, she also attended the First Christian Church of Clinton with her mother until she was no longer able to attend.
Unfortunately, after her fathers’ passing, her mother began to decline. She cared full-time for her mother for several years before her passing in 2016. She returned to Arizona only to realize it was no longer where she wanted to be, which led her back to Weatherford, Oklahoma. She chose to be the caregiver for her brother while he recovered from heart surgery. Her family is forever grateful for the care she gave when it was needed. She truly epitomizes the definition of a caregiver, showing compassion, attention, and affection to others in their time of need.
Melinda is survived by her brother, David Clark, of Weatherford, Oklahoma; niece, Paige Romine, and husband J.R., and three great nephews, Reid and Ridge Rose, and Ryker Romine, all of Jenks, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her lifelong friend from the time they started Kindergarten until now, Debbie Tharel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William, and Helen Clark, as well as her grandparents.
