Nancy Jean Gosier

Funeral Services for Nancy Gosier, 69, Clinton resident will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, August 18, 2023, in the Bethany Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Larry Cato. The burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Nancy Jean Murphy-Jennings was born July 26, 1954, to Wardell Jennings and Velma (Murphy) Jennings in Clinton, OK and passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, in her Clinton resident.

Nancy was raised in Clinton where she attended school. She married Bobbie Gosier on March 28, 1981, in Tulsa, OK. They have made homes in Tulsa and Clinton. Besides being a full-time mom, she was employed as a cook at the historical Pop Hicks Restaurant and the Clinton Veterans Center. She along with other family members had a cleaning service working on oil rigs.

She was a faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church and was in the Church Choir, she enjoyed cooking and often cooked for others, volunteering to take care of shut ins and cooking at the East Side Academy for the children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Cathy Harper and brother, Ernest Daniels.

She is survived by her husband, of the home, daughter, Tracy Northington and fiancé, Lonnie Thompson, Clinton and son, Antony Harper and wife, Lisa, Cushing, OK, three sisters. Shirley Buris, OKC, OK, Veleria “Tub” Lewis, and Janell Lister, both Clinton, OK, brother Jeffrey Stevenson, Clinton, OK.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
