Nedra Mae Forsythe

Nedra Mae Forsythe, aged 76, of Weatherford, OK, was born on April 13, 1949, to Cecil and Mary (Turner) Dacus in Sentinel, OK. She peacefully departed this life on June 21, 2025, at Oxford Springs Assisted Living in Weatherford.

A service to honor Nedra’s life will take place at 10:00 am on June 26, 2025, at the Randy Kiesau Chapel, located at the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, 2500 W. Modelle Ave., Clinton, OK. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at North Burns Cemetery in Burns Flat, OK.

Nedra graduated from Clinton High School in 1967. In May of that same year, she married Donnel Forsythe at her parents’ home south of Clinton. Together, they raised two sons, Michael and Gregory. Throughout her career, Nedra was a dedicated professional, working as a bookkeeper at Oklahoma National Bank and on the production line at Kellwood Inc. She also served as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and held the position of secretary for Forsythe Insurance Agency as well as secretary and purchasing clerk for the City of Weatherford.

Nedra is preceded in death by her husband Donnel; her parents, Cecil and Mary Dacus; brothers, Cecil, Harlynn, Donald, Marlyn, and Zeak Dacus; and niece Debrah Dacus; sister-in-law, Bonnie Dacus and nephew-in-law, Jack.

She is survived by her son Gregory and wife Melanie of Suffolk, VA; grand-daughter, Kasey and husband Ricard; nieces, Jeanne of Cordell, OK, and Shirley of Yukon, OK; her nephew Clifton and his wife Melinda of Yukon, OK; great-niece Jennifer Logan of Yukon, OK; and great-nephews Dustin Dacus and Tyler Dacus, along with great-great nieces Maddison Dacus and Amberly Logan and great-nephew McCellen Logan.
