Listen to Obituary

Paula P. King, 75, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2026, in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Paula was born on June 22, 1951, in San Diego, California, to Clarence and Wilhelminia (Weil) Pringle. When she was three years old, her family moved to Hale Center, Texas, where she grew up, attended school, and graduated from high school.

Paula had a caring heart and found her calling in nursing. She attended LPN school in Brownfield, Texas, earning her nursing license in 1970. She spent 17 years in Dimmitt, Texas, caring for others before moving with her family to Clinton, Oklahoma, in 1989. On May 21, 1992, she married Bill King.

Throughout the years, Paula stayed busy and enjoyed taking on new adventures. She continued her nursing career at the Clinton Veterans Center, later spending four years as a team driver for Swift Transportation. She eventually found another interest working at Shantel Jewelers, where she spent eight years and especially enjoyed repairing watches and jewelry.

Paula was a woman who could always find something to keep her hands busy. She loved visiting flea markets, working with jewelry, beading, sewing, and creating all kinds of arts and crafts. If something needed fixing, Paula was often the one willing to give it a try. She had a special love for her flowerbeds and plants, taking pride in watching them grow and keeping them beautiful. Her cats and other animals also held a special place in her heart.

More than anything, Paula loved being with her family. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether working on a project, tending to her plants, discovering a treasure at a flea market, or spending time with those she loved. Paula had a way of making the most of her talents and interests, and those who knew her will remember her for her creativity, determination, and the many things she could do with her hands.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Wilhelminia Pringle; her husband, Bill King; her brother, David Pringle; and her sister, Lillie Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Lee Rhynes and wife, Bernadette, and John Rhynes and wife, Rebecca; her daughters, Judy Neudorf and husband, David, Della Hintergardt and husband, Floyd, and Elizabeth Ash and husband, David; her sister, Marie Bland; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
