A Mass of Christian Burial for Rafael Marquez, 64, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 am, Monday, January 23, 2023, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiated by Father Balaswamy Mandagiri. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held 6:00 P.M., Sunday, January 22, 2023, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
Rafael Jaquez Marquez was born October 24, 1958, to Bartolo Palacios and Enedina Jaquez in Chihuahua, Mexico and passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, in the Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, OK.
Rafael was raised in Mexico and moved to the U.S.A. when he was 16 years old. He settled in Clinton, OK. He was introduced to the oilfields at an early age. He has been a roustabout most of his adult life.
He was a member of the Catholic Church. He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Lakers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, JR Marquez and daughter, Rosie Marquez, sister Alicia Marquez, grandchildren, Lettie and Peyton Keith.
He is survived by his wife, Silvia Venegas-Marquez, of the home, daughters, Enedina Vasquez and husband, T.J., Clinton, OK, Valeria Acosta-Marquez, Edna Argon, and Myra Marquez, all of NM, Angelica Fuentes and Nickolas Hall, OKC, son, Joe Gutierrez, OKC and Edgar O. Fuentes and Jessica Wilson, Wellston, OK.
He is also survived by five sisters, Rosa Marquez, Velia Marquez, Maria de Jesus Marquez, Marcus, Irma Marquez and Carmen Marquez and brother, Victor Marquez and 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
