Rebecca Lynn Watkins

Funeral Services for Rebecca Watkins, 71, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by (brother-in-law) Rev. Michael Brantley. The burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.


There will not be a public viewing.


Rebecca Lynn (Greene) Watkins was born October 23, 1952, to Robert Edgar Greene and Thelma Martha (Cox) Greene in Newark, NJ and passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the Plano Medical City Hospital in Plano, TX.


Rebecca spent most of her young years in East Orange, New Jersey where she graduated high school. She first made homes in Northern NJ, moved to Erlanger, Ky and then to Texas for 11 years before moving to Oklahoma in 2002. She married Robert “Bob” Watkins September 18, 1992, in Carrollton, TX and they made Clinton their home.


She was a member of the Church of God; she used her artistic talents, doing gardening, knitting, painting and doing ceramics and other projects. She loved animals and spending time with her grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Greene.


She is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home, and their blended family, her children, Dawn Cattell, Riverton, NJ, John Herbstsomer, Pittsburgh, PA, and Michael Herbstsomer, Plano, TX and his children, Jeremiah Watkins, OKC, OK, Megan Robbins, Columbia, KY, and Chelsea Edmonds, Russell Springs, KY, a sister Pat Brantley and husband, Michael, Florence, KS.


She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and an aunt, Lee Pavelchak, and other family and friends.
