A Mass of Christian Burial for Santiago Martinez, 54, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 5, 2021 in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiated by Father Balaswamy Mandagiri. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 4, 2021 in the Fellowship Hall of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Santiago Martinez was born October 23, 1967 to Severiano Martinez and Carmen Luna Martinez in San Miguel Allende, MTO Mexico and passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 in the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room in Oklahoma City, OK. Santiago was raised and attended school in Mexico. He came to the United States when he was 15 years old and first lived in Texas where he first had a job painting and working on a farm; he later moved to Tennessee and worked on a ranch with horses and doing landscaping. He finally setteled in Clinton, OK and worked for the Coop and for the past five years he was employed with Powell Inc. doing tower cleaning. He was married to Maria Arevalo in 1987 in Mexico. He was a member of the Catholic Church and been attending St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clinton. When he was a young man he enjoyed playing soccer. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Maria, daughter, Araceli Martinez, of the home; two sons, Gabriel Martinez, OKC, OK and Severiano Martinez, of the home; three sisters, Catalina Canpos, Bryan , TX, Margarita Martinez, and Juana Martinez, both of Mexico and two brother, “Big” Joaquin Martinex, and “Little” Joaquin Martinez, both of Mexico.
