Funeral Services for Sidney Roman Nose, 44, former Hammon resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 24, 2021 in the Elk City Indian Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Defred White Crow, Jr. Burial will conclude in the Hammon Indian Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. There will be a traditional wake service 6:00-9:00 P.M. P.M., Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in the Elk City Indian Baptist Church. Sidney Clarence Roman Nose was born May 5, 1976 to Stella Roman Nose in Clinton, OK and passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 in San Mateo, CA. Sidney was raised in Hammon and attended Hammon Schools. He has made his home in Western, Oklahoma, Lawrence, KS and he has lived in San Mateo, CA for the past four years. He has worked as labor most of his life. He was a member of the Indian Baptist Church, a member of the Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma; he fishing and loved sports especially Track. He is preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by son, Nakoma Roman Nose, Tahlequah, OK; his mother, Stella Roman Nose, Clinton, sisters, Denise Davis-Quinones, OKC, OK, Juanita Sankey, El Reno, OK, Edna Hargus, Henrietta, OK and Reta Frazier, OKC, OK; brothers, Native Roman Nose, of Oregon, Joe Ketcher, of California, Harold Ketcher, of Pennsylvania, Tony Olivera, OKC, OK, Junior Ray Rhodes, of New Mexico, Eli Davis, Jr., Elk City, OK. He is also survived by several nieces nephews and cousins.
